Launching a moderated, bring your own participants study

The first step in creating a Moderated study for your participants is selecting “Bring My Participants”, and then choosing which device your participant will be completing the study on. Along with naming and providing a description for your study, you’ll also want to select the session length to be 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Make sure to choose the device you want the participants to use!

Setting up your calendar

With Moderated sessions, you have complete control over scheduling the sessions with your participants including your availability, session length, and integrating your calendar (Outlook, Google, iCloud, CalDEV, and Exchange Server).

A view of your calendar and an availability session. To confirm your availability, simply click on the preferred times. Make sure your calendar is up to date!

Submit Availability and copy the study link. This is the link you will send to your participants.

Participants will be able to select a time from the link you sent them. A confirmation email with the meeting invite will be sent to your email address.

A Zoom link will automatically be generated and populated within the calendar for each individual participant. Click "Join meeting" to go to meeting

The Zoom will record the conversation and the participant’s screen (always double check that it’s recording before starting).

That’s it, you’re finished! You’ll be able to access the video in your PlaybookUX account under Participants.

What happens to my video after a successfully completed BYOP moderated session?

When your video will show up in the "participant" section in your project after it is transcribed.

Your video may not show up in your account immediately because of this. Please be patient!
