With preference testing, participants will compare two or more designs and choose their preference.
Setting up a preference test
To create a preference test, start by creating a survey. Preference testing is a feature within surveys.
Head to the Survey tab to start creating your preference test.
In the Add new question menu, click Preference.
This will appear:
Question: In the "Start typing your question" box, ask a question. A common question is "Which [design/image/logo] do you prefer?"
Answers/options: Adding an image name will come in handy when analyzing your preference test. Image names are not visible to participants.
Upload button: Click the "Upload" button to add an image (png or jpeg). The maximum upload size is 25MB.
Click "Add another option" to test more than 2 designs. The max number of options is 8.
If you'd like to send participants to separate sets of questions depending on their answer, you can accomplish this with skip logic.
Preview study
Click the 'Preview my study' button to view the participant experience.
Analytics
As results are rolling in you'll be able to view Analytics for your preference test.
Click into the project and head to the Analytics tab.
You'll see a breakdown of how many participants selected each option.
