How do I randomize the answer choices for multi-select and single-select question types?

When configuring your research, it’s important to reduce bias in as many ways as possible. One common bias we see with multi-select or single-select question types, participants are more likely to focus on the first few answer choices rather than equally across all answer choices.

When setting up your multi-select and single-select question types, underneath the "Other" answer choice, there is a toggle labeled "Randomize answer choices." When that is selected, each participant will see the answer choices in a different order. However, on the analytics, you'll still see the answer choices in the order you initially set them up in.

If the toggle is turned off, the answers will NOT be randomized.
